Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen Natural Makeup Look

My skin is super angry at me at the moment so I was a little worried about posting pictures of my face on the internet, which is why there aren't many photos of my face on here.
Aaaaanyway... Catching Fire comes out soon and I thought I'd write up a makeup tutorial, and some other ideas and tips about turning it into a full outfit. Remember you can use this makeup look on its own as an everyday look.
Here we go!

Step One - Clean and moisturise your face as usual. Apply a foundation, concealer and powder and a clear lipbalm.
[no face photo because my face looks gross :P]

Step Two - for my eyes I used my benefit big beautiful eyes kit and a super old natural collection eyeshadow duo in apple/frost. I applied Frost (the white gold colour) all over my lid and contoured it on my outer corner and crease with the middle colour in the benefit palette (I can't remember what it's called, if it really matters check my older post reviewing the kit)
If you want it to be brighter you could add a green colour.

Step Three - I lined my eyes with a kinda cheap Natural Collection liner, but only my waterline. I chose a black colour though brown would also work. The mascara I used was a weird one called L'oreal telescopic explosion mascara, which has a really crazy round brush.

Step Four - I applied the Natural Collection blusher in Peach Melba, which is a really good affordable blush in a nice natural peachy colour.
Quite nice for £1.99

Step Five - for my lips I used the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 03 which is a lovely nude colour and over that I added a random gloss.
Ugh terrible photo, sorry!
And the finished look (ugh my face):

So for a matching outfit I had a couple of ideas.
When I dressed up as Katniss I wore a green tank top, olive trousers and a leather jacket. I paired it with leather boots. Of course you need that katniss braid! Just Dutch braid from above one of your ears all the way around the back of your head. I took a crap mirror picture so you can see the back:
Yay for photo quality!
As for the mockingjay ion you can buy them fairly cheaply, but I made my own by cutting the shape out of plastic and spraying it gold. Instead of attaching a pin to it I used two easy to cut stitches to attach it to the tank top.
This is what it looked like:
Let's finish with that old photo, the first on my Instagram feed, of the original costume earlier this year:
